Wow, wow, wow the fourth season hit the ground running! One of the best first episode I've seen so far this season. I love the choice for them to do greyscale. This is pre-Detective Agency days, but things are taken a lot more seriously. Having it resemble film noir is a perfect choice for atmosphere, reminding the audience this takes place in the past, and really brings out the moments that matter.

I didn't know Ranpo was the one who met the boss first! He's just a boy and so is our famed heartbreaking assassin Odasaku! I've thought about this before but Bungou Stray Dog's greatest weakness is it's present plot. Plots about the past are always filled with emotions and intrigued and it's a little confusing how easily invested I am in the story when it's about the past but am less invested with the present story.

Hmm...I like this black and white filter. Why don't other anime do the same.

I think it's because this is studio bones, they are very much ahead of the curve when it comes to animation, simple things are not challenging to them anymore. Basically, this black and white filter is an artistic decision that most anime would not need to do, it's extra.

Can't wait anymore longer!! I was putting it on hold til it gets fully dub but i can't help it😋😋!

saw this pop up here this morning, and let out the biggest squeeeee i've done in a long time. the wait is over, and time to jump back in. least this time when this gets the home media release i wont wait to buy it. damn seasons 1,2,3, and dead apple cost me a fortune to get for my birthday last year.
